Few questions before purchase

Hey,

Before I buy my Mac can anyone answer these questions?

1.) I heard that MS is developing a new Office (2007?) for the Mac. Does anyone know if this will run much better than the current version on Intel Macs?

2.) Can I upload my blog created in iWeb to any server or do I need to buy a .Mac account?

1) it should, it will be first M$ universal office. but nobody knows real performance since nobody see it yet.

yes but its difficult. i think its mainly just publish to folder and then upload that via ftp to your website but i could be wrong it has been a while

elisha is right, you can. but each time you make changes to your website, you have to republish ALL the files, not just the new ones. i suspect this is something that will be rectified in iLife 07 on monday, giving you the option to just publish newer files. also, iWeb html code is notoriously complicated and takes a long time to load on the screens of people who visit your website. again, hopefully this might improve soon.
