I have iStat for the iMac, and take a look at the photo.

Under processes, I have the Vuze app running at about 7.9%, but then I have this ffmpeg running at about 60%

^What the hell is that? I'm using the spotlight to try to find it, but I have no idea what it is.
 
its a video conversion codec, if you have a video page setup where people can upload videos, this codec is what converts it into flash after the user uploads their video

It's not a codec, it an encoding library.

If you're uploading a video to the web, it will be encoded in the cloud once it has been uploaded to the server.
