Fibre Broadband

Hi guys I'm not sure where to put this so feel free to move it...

I recently had sky fiber broadband installed and I am connected at 40mb but I have tested my line and only get about 24mbps, I know in theory this speed can fluctuate depending on line quality etc but if I am connected at 40 then surely my line can handle 40?

The problem is probably the server, not your connection.

Are you connected directly to modem or through a router connected to the modem(if so name & the models)?
