I really don't want to pay for a more expensive tier of iCloud. I feel like Apple makes it very hard to do a more precise backup where photos are excluded. I rather transfer them to a NAS or computer and then transfer them back to a new iPhone.
I'm playing around and learning how iOS backups work. When choosing an iCloud backup to restore from, I see a bunch of backup options. Due to the long length of time, I no longer remember what's in those backups. I can't delete what I don't know what's in it. So I'm taking the time to restore each individual backup to see what's inside. For the future, is there any way to see the details of the backup and then how to safely delete it without affecting the important backup; space permitting! I'm even tempted just to subscribe to 2TB just for the month to play it safe.
Thank you!
