So I've got new Mac and for whatever reason all file extensions are visible. I have proper option disabled in Finder and I know that I can hide extensions on per file basis. However I remember that on my old Mac all extensions were hidden by default. What changed? It's too tiring to now go and hide ALL extensions since it's done on per file basis.

Is it some bug or I'm missing something.

Try removing your user account Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist, logout and log back into your user account. If that does not work, try creating a new clean user account and see if the issue happens in the new user account.
