Hi,
I’ve been trying to figure out a way to view the entire file names for my documents in the Files app (I have documents with long names).
On iOS 12, I would long press a document, select Get Info and a window would appear with the full name of the file.
Now when I do that same action, a window appears but it’s never adjusted to the length of the file name, which means the file name is only partially visible, the middle is cut out because it doesn’t fit in the Info window.
It’s the same on iPhone and iPad and changing the layout makes no difference as far as I can tell.

Basically, the only place for me to see the entire file name of a document is on my Mac, which is disappointing.

Anyone know a way to work around this nonsense? Some setting that I’m missing or a third party app? It’s incredible that I’m having problems with something so basic, and it’s ironic for this to be happening now when Apple introduced the downloads option in an effort to make the Files app better.

Also, when I tap on the File name instead of the icon or when I long press on the icon and select Rename, the Files app freezes if the Magic Keyboard is connected and I have to close it in the app switcher. If the keyboard isn’t connected, I can rename the file and the app doesn’t freeze so this is essentially the only way to view the full file name. Obviously, only being able to see the file name in full when I tap on Rename is not an acceptable solution as it’s impractical and too slow, as even the rename file window for some reason has a small space for the actual file name, while the rest of the window is empty and I have to scroll through the file name to see it in full.
