This may seem silly, but as I get more and more involved with my video (all self taught) I am finding that file management WITH IN FCP to be key to a quick editing job.

1. does anyone know of a video/tutorial on file management?
2. how do you best deal with a larger project that involves multi day shoots? Perhaps a short film would be an example.

One of the great things about FCP is that you can have multiple projects open at once. And you can easily transfer files from one project to another.

For large productions this means that you can have many FCP projects - one project for your sequences, one for you rushes, one for your graphics, one for your music etc, etc...

There is a DVD made by Shane Ross called getting organised in Final Cut Pro available from CreativeCOW.
