File Permissions Confusion?

I just installed Snow Leopard from scratch and noticed that I could run File Permissions Check in Disk Utility and it found a lot of file permission problems on a brand new Snow Leopard install which was surprising, but then I selected to fix them but it seems to loop and not fix it and then claims to have fixed them but when I do another check the file permission errors are still there.

What's going on?

It's normal for the permissions check to find a lot of "errors" that can be ignored. don't worry about it.

Had the same problem. If you want, you can make it worse by fidling around with your files on another computer, preferably a Windows machine...
