File permissions during migration

So PC to Mac migration is going ok, but I'm having some file permission issues with copying data over from my pc drives to the newly formatted Mac ones... It will spend a whole bunch of time copying stuff and then just stop and say that I don't have permission to copy some of them. Apparently, from what I've googled batch changing permissions so it understands they should all allow me to copy them to the new drives is kind of tricky. Any ideas?
