File recovery options? (InDesign)

Ok, one of my coworkers accidentally deleted an important InDesign file. He's not sure when it was deleted, so I don't know how much damage the cache/diskram swapping or auto defrag have done to his deleted files; as soon as he told me about it I had him shut down and have been running diagnostics with it in target mode. I've run Data Rescue II (useless, found zero files) and FileSalvage (much better, found thousands, but .indd is not a supported application type so it either can't see it and it's there or it's not there...

Any other solutions? Anyone know of the best app for Adobe files?

Sorry to bump, but running short on time (his deadline is tomorrow). I've tried running Virtual Lab and come up with several .indd files, but no way to preview them. Any advice for other apps, a way to preview those files, or a way to find a save log or something on the hard drive? (VL gives you no file name, no save date, etc. just the name "InDesign File 1" and file size...)
