File Recovery Software for OSX

I need to recover some files. Specifically for a deleted user....any recommendations?

Deleted user - have you checked that their home folder is no longer present as there is an option to delete a user but to keep their home folder. Have a look for that first.

Ok, got data rescue, scanned and am recovering- all the files have generic names.....will I have to go through them one by one after recovering to find what I am looking for? (Deleted Items Scan)
