Hi,

Can someone please help,

I've downloaded and setup Lion Server on my iMac for file sharing.

File sharing is only service being used at the moment.

I want to be able to have a folder with files in, that 2 other machines in the house can access, edit and save. I thought this was pretty simple to achieve but either its not or I haven't set something correctly.

When I open the Numbers document thats on the server, it opens fine, I can alter it but then when I close it - 'The document "xzy" is on a volume that does not support permanent version storage' -
In the next message if you press ok is states 'The document "xyz" could not be autosaved. You don't have permission.'

I have checked the permission every way I can:mad:

Why is this - its def is on a volume that has storage as it, it's the same mac I have been using the 3 years so whats going on please?? am I missing something stupid????

Edit - it was something stupid (I wasn't signed in as the correct user doh!!) and I've solved the saving issue so now it all works except the "no permanent storage message still comes up"??
Is this just - accept it and carry on like you were before you were introduced to lion and it's super saving features - or is there something else I have missed?
