Hi all,
I'm having an issue with file sharing between my two Mac computers. Everything was working perfectly yesterday as I just restored my MacBook Pro and used file sharing to bring most of my install files back to the MBP from my iMac over my network. I have the File Sharing enabled on the iMac with Read & Write access set to my account.
On my MacBook Pro I'll click the iMac name under Shared when I have the finder open and the window pops up to type in the user name and password or connect as a guest. I type in the same user name as I did yesterday (my full name) and the password I have on the iMac (same as my MBP). When hitting connect, it'll make the small login window wiggle as if I'm entering the incorrect password. I restarted both computers, made sure they're both on the same WiFi network and turned File Sharing off and then back on and it's still not working.
I had this problem before I restored the computer but never really took the time to figure out what the problem was and now I'm having it again. I find it odd that it's happening now after I transferred hundreds of files last night around midnight and after waking up, no bueno.
Any ideas here?
