File Sharing Problem

Hello, I'm having a problem with file sharing. I have a 2006 iMac and a 2007 MacBook. I can access files on the MacBook from the iMac, but I cannot access files on the iMac from the MacBook. I am able to use screen sharing from both computers. Both are connected through WiFi and both are running OS X 10.6.8. I've attempted to disable and enable file sharing on both computers with no luck. If anyone knows how I can fix this, I would be very appreciative.

Do you have any kind of firewall enabled on either system?

The only firewalls in use would be the ones built into OS X 10.6.8, but both computers show the firewalls as being disabled.
