File Sharing? Win - OS X

i need my files... lol just got my macbook and cant put my music, photos and other files on...

i now have a wireless network, and am tring to let this thing work...

i can access the net.. wel obviously

now i have already tried...
1. sharing my My Docs in Windows Xp on another PC
2. tried inputting the name into the go menu of the mac...

what am i missing here??

any help will be greatly appreciated

just turn it off and see what happens, and also windows firewall

What are you typing? It should be smb://computername

this is what i get when i try accessing it

"The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "smb://192.168.2.2/documents" could not be read or written. Error code -36"

help please!!
