I have a little problem, and I'm thinking someone here can probably help. I'm looking for a way to sort files in Windows XP. Specifically, I want to take a folder full of PDF files, and sort them by page length. I know that doesn't sound much like an Apple or OSX problem, but let me explain.

At work, I deal with a TON of PDF files. Like, I'm talking thousands a day. I work in the OH SO exciting insurance field, and every document that our systems generate, from new policies to any endorsement, comes out as a PDF. The problem is, some times I need to sort them by page length. And I don't know to do that in a quick and efficient way in windows.

I have built myself a simple little Automator script here at home that does just what I need. Which is fine, but we don't have any Macs at work. And I don't know how to do anything like that with Windows. I'm sure there is some way to do it, but I don't know how. I have a feeling, in typical fashion, it won't be as easy or elegant as Automator, but oh well.

So, does anyone know of a way, either in Windows XP itself, or with a separate program, that can sort files? In case anyone wants the specifics, here is what I'm looking to do....

- Folder A has 1000 PDFs inside, of varying length
- Move PDFs of 5 pages in length to Folder B
- Move PDFs of 7 pages in length to Folder C
- Move PDFs of other lengths to folder D

As I said, I can do this in about 10 seconds with Automator. But, I have no clue how to do this with windows. Anyone know a way, or a program, that can get that done? Thanks
