I have a 1TB WD Passport External. I have it partitioned into a time machine drive and an external (50/50). On the external, I have approx 50 ripped movies from my DVD collection.
Today I decided to copy all those movies to the iMac so I could re-partition my WD External Drive into 3 partitions (now to include a boot disk for Lion).
Everytime I tried to drag and drop a movie to the desktop (or anywhere for that matter, the file would 'copy' but would disappear and not get transferred to my iMac. I mean I tried everything.
Finally, I decided to re-boot the computer and now it works fine. The iMac is brand new, and had it's last restart about 24 hours ago.
Any idea why this would be happening? Is this a bug that needs reported, or is this something wide-spread others have experienced.
Thanks for any replies.
