I have an iMac with a 320Gb HD running Snow Leopard. I would like to install a bootcamp partition with windows 7. I will either use the current HD and make two 160Gb partitions and transfer my iPhoto and iTunes libray to an external drive to save internal disk space, or I might replace the HD with a 1Tb one, not sure yet.
Anyway, I was wondering how I can transfer files between the two partitions. I believe Snow Leopard has the ability to READ from a NTFS-partition, so I should be alright there. But can Win7 read HFS+ ? I think not. There are several tools out there to add this ability, but which is the best one, as I don't want to screw up my OS X partition when in Win7.
I only need READ capability (which means a FREE solution) so that I can pull files from the NTFS partition when booted into OS X and vice versa, pull files from the OS X partition when booted into Win7. Also need this capability to access my external drives.
