We have a 2009 iMac running the most up to date version of Snow Leopard, and are having a bit of an issue with transferring large files VIA usb from a video camera to the internal hard drive of the Mac. File transfers seem to occasionally hang mid-transfer, and are not able to be stopped even when the stop button is pressed. Is there any reason why this may be happening, and any good ways to prevent it?
