FileChute Question.....?

I had a quick question about the Filechute Application....

i just realized, that you don't need the application at all !

Can't you just zip the file yourself and upload it to you FTP server
instead of having filechute do this ?

Am i correct about this ?

There's always a way to get files uploaded to your FTP, but I like FileChute because of the simple drag/drop, and gives a posting url with it.

but in the FTP App, Transmit if you right click on the item
it gives you a the path URL to the file.

So i guess i don't need FileChute anymore ?
