I've just recently made the switch from OS9 to Tiger. One of the programmes that I've been able to bring with me to the OSX environment is FileMaker Pro 5.5.

The odd thing, however, is that I can't scroll with the mouse wheel. As far as I can see, this doesn't happen with any other application. The mouse wheel works perfectly with everything except FM Pro. I've looked through the preferences in both FileMaker and my Mac's system preferences (under "keyboard & mouse"), but it didn't help.

Does anyone recognise this behaviour? Or better yet, does anyone know how to solve it?

All I can tell you is that it's true. I also run FileMaker 5.5 and it doesn't support the scroll wheel. I feel fortunate that such an old version of the application even runs in Leopard, as according to FileMaker, it's not even officially supposed to work.

Thanks. Good to know it's not due to any fault of mine :)

I have loads of FM files and making the mosue wheel work would have been so useful. Ah well, I'll just have to live with the extra hazzle.
