Which of those two database programs is more similar to Microsoft Access?

FileMaker Pro is a true database program, so it's going to be more much more full-featured and powerful than Bento. It's definitely more like Access in that respect. Bento is just meant for personal, or perhaps small business, use. It's handy but it can't do the kinds of things I do with my Access databases at work. FileMaker Pro can.

If you're an Access user and are looking to adopt a new application, you definitely want to look towards FileMaker Pro. Bento is nice and simple for personal use, but for anything more needy and it starts lacking.
