Previously you couldn’t transfert a file from your mac to your icloud drive and then delete it from your mac, because it would also delete the drives version. So it was not impossible to use this service to free up some space on my machine, my only solution was dropbox which did not require a local file.
I’m wondering if we have any indications of how the Files app is supposed to work in that regards. (I’m not even 100% the service is even coming to mac OS?)
Do we know if the Files app will be added to icloud.com? (My mac is currently too old for high sierra anyway)
Will I be able to load files onto it and delete them from my machine?
