iPhone Files app not working for smb

some where along the line of 13.X updates my iPhone7 got busted for SMB server connection. Used to work, now does not, even with the new mighty 13.4 update.

i am trying to log in to a qnap NAS file server as a registered user as:
smb://myFileServer
id = "adsfasdj"
pw = "qwuyeirqy"


ios FileExplorer app works tho
everything is on the same sub net
