Hi all,
I am saving most of my PDFs, Word, and Excel documents which I downloaded from the web using Safari in the iOS 13 native Files app. These documents open the files without issues and I can zoom in and read them.
However, there is no Search function. For example, if I need to search for a key word inside a PDF document opened using the Files app, there is no Search function. All I can see is a Highlight and Look-up feature when I long press on the document.
I really prefer the Files app as opposed to a third party app which can be installed from the App Store. But I do like the Files app.
I am aware that reading PDF files DIRECTLY from the web, there is an option called Search or Find on this Page when tapping on the Share icon.
But, my issue is that I am unable to Search words inside of documents after there are downloaded/saved and opened using the Files app.
In my opinion, the Files app is not really perfect, and I think Apple needs to improve on its features.
But I still prefer to use it.
