Files App Troubles

Can anyone else NOT remove the Files app from the taskbar?

I would rather hide it in a folder, but it won’t budge.

Additionally, when I tried to delete it, it simple won’t delete and continues to shake even when all other apps are static.

The dock is wonky. I consistently have apps on the dock become unresponsive to any function, from simple opening to drag and drop. Restart wakes them up.
