Files in trash can after updates

I'm pretty new to Mac OS X. I just did the a quicktime, dvd player, and security update for my powerbook. And 3 files appeared in my trash can.

DVDPlayerUpdate.pkg
QuickTime701.pkg
SecUpd2005-006Ti.pkg

What do I do with them?

Empty the trash. Those are just the installation packages (.pkg) for the updates you just ran.
