Hey folks

I keep getting this error message saying
"finder can't complete the operation because some data in " ... " can't be read of written.
(Error code -36).

I've recently swapped out my optical drive for a new HD (WD Blue 1TB) and my old Sata drive for an SSD (Crucial MX200 500GB). I put the old drive in a case and have been trying to transfer my files over but every so often (and very inconsistently) this error message comes up. Sometimes if I transfer the file individually to the secondary slot it'll work fine, but some files just won't go no matter what.

I've changed all the permissions to all read & Write on both file and destination drive.
I'm running a late 2011 15" MBP, Yosemite.

Error -36 is a hardware error. Error -36 is often just a read/write error e.g. when copying from a bad DVD. If you get this error when copying between hard drives you should start to worry.
