I am a graphic designer - specifically a digital scrapbook designer. I have the original 12.9 and the newer 12.9 & 11". So I have been using iPad for awhile.
I have 1000s of images that I use. I have them set up in folders by types. I also have lots of folders in folders. I have them on my iPad since I cannot get a preview on most of them thru iCloud, unless I have downloaded them. (is there a way to do a multiple item download to the IPad from the cloud?)
SO I use "On My iPad" in the files app. I actually have them uploaded to "Files Explorer". So everything was fine until iOS 12.4 update. Now I get this - "Content Unavailable - The folder contents could not be displayed because of an unknown error. Try Again". It does not matter which app I click on in "on my iPad", in fact, just clicking on "On My iPad" shows the same thing.
I have done Edit (in files) turn off "On my iPad", done, then turn it back on. It will work for a little while. Then I am back to the error. If I am down in a folder of multiple folders - well lets just say I have to start all over going to the folder. These are images - but I don't want them in my "Main" folder of photos - so that is NOT an option I want to go down.
I am hoping they fix this issue in iPad OS - but not sure they have. It makes it very difficult to use my iPad creatively. Which I have been doing until this last update.
