In Outlook on iOS when I select files it shows the cloud accounts I've logged into such as Dropbox, and Google Drive, though it is also showing my email accounts and files associated with each account.

1. What are these email files? Are these old email file attachments?
2. Under iCloud it is showing me many image files that I do not remember ever seeing....though it is not showing me the icloud files that I would expect to see. I'm guessing it can not access my Numbers, Pages, files?
3. How is this Files section of Outlook supposed to be used?

1. These are items you have sent, and or, received.
2. Those may be items you have received.
3. Outlook is more of an office app and you exchange files in offices, so it's quick access to files you may want to send.
