So I'm coming across this issue where I can't sign in or use my Macbook Pro if I remotely reboot. After doing some research it seems that the Filevault encryption feature is the issue. You first have to get past the login locally in order for the hard drive to open up and allow access to the network so you can sign in remotely. Bleh, sometimes I think features like this encourage users to do things with less security when there are no work arounds, for now I've had to turn Filevault off as I need access post remote reboot, but hate to turn off any security feature.

Has anyone figured out a way to keep Filevault on but still be able to login with a remote reboot?

What model MacBook Pro is it? If it's 2018 or later everything on your SSD is securely encrypted, so it's safe from prying eyes even with FileVault off.
