I needed to encrypt my home folder using FileVault. While in the process it completed creating the secure folder, but it was taking too long for "Deleting old Home Folder" files. I thought the process was stuck in some ways so i hit cancel and pressed on stop and the dialog window was "Cancelling" the process.

Funny thing is when it was done and i logged in again , i saw that FileVault was turned "ON" in my account. I don't know how this happened as it was supposed to cancel it.

My question is , i am really worried about the fact my home folder is messed up but everything seems ok to me .... any way to check integrity of home folder? Secondly, how can i double-sure that FileVault is really turned "ON" or not?

Thanks a lot.
