In another thread I mentioned how I was taking my rMBP in to the genuis bar as I had horrid image retention (Screen Shot Attached). My rMBP failed that test but it also failed several others.

Has anyone had issues with using FileVault and then having your SSD become corrupted? I'm on a 2.6, 512gig, 8 ram stock model. We ended up wiping my system clean and then trying with and without filevault. As soon as FileVault was switched on, the SSD became corrupt.

I'm on FileVault and I've incurred zero problems. I've had FV enabled since Mountain Lion has been released. I do back up regularly, which keeps my datasafe but I've no seen, heard or experience any problems with FV

Same here with FV2 on ML. I have never heard of a FV2 encryption like that getting corrupted right out of the gate. I would be more suspicious that OP has a bad drive.
