Hi there,

Today I clean installed High Sierra, formatted as APFS and enabled FV in settings after installation completed.

Now I see 15 hours remaining on a clean install? When enabling FV on a clean installed Sierra it takes 20-25 min.

Why is it that slow on High Sierra??

Cause High Sierra isn't properly baked (yet).

Thanks, but 15 hours vs 20 min. on Sierra? That’s insane!

Maybe I’ll just reinstall Sierra, as I haven’t transferred any files from external HDD just yet. So only 15-20 min. of extra work for me.

Really disappointed that HS is so unoptimized 2 point releases in.

I'm in the process of rolling back to Sierra right now. Can't deal with the GPU issues of High Sierra any more. Been waiting for months for whats essentially a AMD GPU driver update to get decent reliable performance on GPU intensive tasks like photo and video editing, gaming, etc! Yay.
