Just looking for some general guidance here to see if this is a known issue.
I received a 1 TB Time Machine as a gift last week. I've noticed that this behaves much differently in terms of running backups than what I was used to with my old external USB hard drive. Now, I use FileVault on my home folder, and I used to see this backup every time I logged out while the drive was connected, but I am not observing this behavior with the Time Capsule, even though regular backups do seem to be occurring while I am logged in. Is it normal for the Time Capsule to not back up the encrypted home folders of users with FileVault? If so, seems like a silly flaw to not support this kind of operation simply because it's over wireless.
Any guidance would be appreciated. As a note, I have turned off FileVault and turned it back on, no change.
Regards.
