Hello,

I have used FileVault on Yosemite to encrypt the drive and once completed I see a message "A recovery yet has been sent" yet to where?

I have backed everything up yet concerned about the recovery key whose wheradbout remains a mystery. Can someone explain what I seem to have missed as I don't want to lose data going forward?

In the beginning of the FV process, you are prompted if you want to send the recovery key to apple/icloud. If you skipped that step, that probably caused the message.

I'm not in front of my MBP that has FV enabled, but I believe you can resend it from the security preference pane.

Sadly not, but they key was placed within my keychain, so all is well. One questions answered and one more to come.
