Film screen protector iPhone 12

Since Apple has moved away from curve front glass does that mean we will see film screen protector coming back? I always find glass screen protectors are PITA to install on iPhone X.
 
They are quite easy to install if you get the ones that include a clip-on alignment frame like the one from Spigen. Otherwise, I agree and hope they do bring out some front and back films like BSE used to (and still might) do. The films, together with a side bumper frame would be ideal for me.
