FILM. where to study?

I'm currently studying at a private Music School in Manhattan, but i'll drop out cause I wanna do Film. I have no real experience, no money for a private film school and no SAT scores.
Would studying Film at a community college and then transferring to a 4-year sound like a bad idea? (in NYC, CUNY schools)

Also, I have been researching for UK Film Schools.

Please let me know what you think about CUNY, UK Film Schools or Film Schools at any other state.

In that industry, you could go further faster by just hassling your way into companies as a runner. Even the guys with degrees have to start as a runner when they get out of uni, so get a head start and go straight into it.
