I loaded Final Cut 4 and it would not open. It would initiate an opening for a few seconds then disappear. I assume that I am missing something on my system. Here is my system.

And here are the specs.

My graphics card is an ATI Radian 1600. I have no PCI Cards and I can't find any evidence of and AGP card. Is this what I am missing or is there something else?

Thanks.

Your iMac is more than compatible with FCE.

Here's what you need to do.

1.Either go onto another user account on your Mac OR temporarily create a new user account.

2. Log into that different user account and see if FCE opens normally. If it does, it means your own user account has a corrupt preference file.

Let me know if that's the case and I can help you from there. If that's not the problem, drag FCE to the trash and reinstall.

Thank you

I went onto another user account and it loaded fine. I went back to the user account where it was not loading and it worked fine.

Much appreciated.
