Hi everyboy,

I´ve got a 12" Powerbook with 40 gb storage and a 120gb external drive, Final Cut Express 2 and 10.3.2.
I want to capture a film from my videocamera to that 120 gig drive.
I´m COMPLETELY new to Final Cut and I don´t know what to do.
Thankfull for any advice

If it's the same as with FCP then you go to the Final Cut Express menu and choose System Settings. Then you should see a "Scratch Disks" tab which should be the default selected. And you can see that Video Capture, Audio Capture, Video Render, and Audio Render are checked and the location to store them is in your user folder. Click the "Set..." button, navigate to your external HD, and make a new folder (call it something like Final Cut Pro Documents) and that's it.
