Hey guys!

Im considering buying Final Cut Express (not pro/studio) and i was wondering about the requirements needed to install it. Ive read that the actual application only requires something like 1gb of hardrive space, but the audio component requires 14gb! This would be a major issue if this was the case, i only have 18gb of space left on my computer, and i wouldnt want to purchase an external hard-drive just for FC. Does anyone know if the installation actually takes up 14gb, or if that much space is just recommeded for the program?

Thanks a ton!

You would need an external drive for a scratch disk anyway. DV footage takes up about 12GBs of space for one hours worth. You do not want to capture to your system disk you want to use a separate disk.
