I have been waiting for FCE HD 4 to make the move to FCE, and am excited with yesterday's announcement. However I am bummed that Soundtrack is now out. Some speculation is that it's b/c Garageband is essentially the same thing and for FCE users the $100 price reduction offsets the lack of Soundtrack.
My question is whether it would be worth it to pick up a Full Version FCE HD 3.5 for $100-150 and then buy the upgrade to 4.0 for another $99 so that I can get Soundtrack 1.5?
or if it really isn't worth it considering I have Garageband (and I think I may have the ability to download additional packs free from .mac??), especially since I don't know how much I will be scoring projects w/ music vs. just using music out of iTunes.
I don't see myself using FCE for more than anything but personal stuff, just want more than iMovie offers.
Does FCE offer iLife integration with iPhoto/Ken Burns and iTunes for audio tracks similar to iMovie?
