Final Cut Express 351 crashes

Has anyone seen this? My Final Cut Express 351 crashes at the end of the capture. It does seem to matter how much video I capture, whether I use my second disk or my startup disk. I've trashed my preferences, fixed permissions, reinstalled both FCE & Tiger (I was desperate!) etc.

Okay, here's the answer: Poison video. The particular miniDV tape started with some crappy video that consisted of horizontal stripes... just like I see when I need to run the cleaning tape. When I wait until it settles down to start capturing, all is well.
