Final Cut Express 4 _ unwanted cropping

My video is cropped during exporting, and I don't know why. I'm shooting HD video (1280 x 720) with my Canon G12 camera. The Final Cut Express 4 project is set to the same dimension. I import the video into the project, and everything looks great. When I export, I set the same dimensions. But, when I view the exported video, the sides have been cropped. I have no idea why. Please help.
