How do i intentionally drop frames in final cut express? I tried to change it from the sequence dropdown menu but it changed the frames for the whole sequence. is there a way to drop the frames for a single clip? Thanks in advance

Why would you want to do this?

You could either cut the frames yourself, or you could put more stress on the scratch disk, by copying large amounts of data to or from it, as several copy processes of course, while you want to play the clip.

What is your goal in "dropping frames"? You might like for a Strobe effect (I don't remember if FCE4 has it).

Or just manually use the razor and cut out individual frames and delete them.

IF you really want to have it drop frames, watch 2 seperate HD videos on YouTube, import a CD in iTunes, and import your footage during this time.

That only works if you're on a non-quad Mac and your footage is from a tape.
