Hi!

I'm looking for anyone with a little experience with Final Cut Express 4.0. I want to adjust an audio track (speed it up, specifically), but I can't work out how. I know, I am a total idiot.

If I try to use Modify>Speed like for a video clip, it just alters the duration. But Modify>Audio doesn't seem to have any settings to adjust speed.

Is it possible to do this in FCE?

Thanks for any help!

If you alter the speed of the clip it also alters the speed of the audio. I am not my computer with final cut on but I am 99% sure this will work.

Click on the clip you want to change the audio speed for. Unlink the audio and video bit clicking CMD and L. Now click somewhere else and then click on the audio line only. Now Use the Speed setting in the modify menu to adjust the audio speed.

I have covered a little but about unlinking in this tutorial (which has the benefit of images to explain http://www.digmo.co.uk/tutorials/time-freeze-in-final-cut/) or a video tutorial here http://www.digmo.co.uk/tutorials/final-cut-reversing-clips/)

Hope that helps (and works).
