This weekend i had some time to play around with final cut express. I learned alot by just uploading some video and played around with it. There is so much more to learn. I was thinking of getting a book or training DVD. I think both would be helpful cause i'm a visual and kenestic learner (hands on) What would you recommend?
thanks

My copy came with a DVD called "Getting Started With Final Cut Express" from DigitalFilm Tree. It was a very good introduction because it actually showed how to do all the important things. I'd read tutorials and stuff like that but I got it a lot better by seeing it. After that all the books made a lot more sense. The manual that comes with FCE is actually worth something too, which is unfortunately rare for a manual.

If you want a big book on FCE you might want to check out the Visual Quickstart guide. Those tend to be really good books.

Final Cut Express is amazing, by the way.
