I currently own Final Cut Express 2, and have only just mastered all of it's features (it sat there looking intimidatingly at me for a couple of months when I'd shy away to iMovie, but once I sat down and played with Final Cut for an hour it has since become one of the most complicated-looking-but-not-so-complicated apps I've used, right after Photoshop). I really don't have any big beefs with it.
But somehow I find myself eying Final Cut Express HD. For those that have received it... I can already tell it's worth it, but do you think it's a big enough improvement to jump up, or should I hold off for FCE4 next year with (most likely) Core Video enhancements?
LiveType looks absolutely drool worthy... and I thought FCE2 did a great job of titling! Is LiveType as easy to use as it looks, or (more importantly) is it as powerfully easy as it looks?
Soundtrack also wouldn't be wasted on me... I use Garageband for scoring once in a while and always wish it could play my videos set to its music. I still can't believe they included Soundtrack and LiveType in Express for a $120 (Cdn) upgrade.
Any other really notable improvements to the app besides Livetype/Soundtrack and HD (which is currently useless to me)? Thanks for all feedback.
