Final Cut Express HD upgrade

hi people, i bought Final Cut Express 2 just before christmas with an education discount. I was wondering if the upgrade to HD would still apply to me as i bought it discounted. I can't find anything on Apple's site about it, it makes me think i can but i figured i would ask here first.

I'm sure yours will work. I'm more curious about buying FCE2 pre-installed on my iMac G5. Does that warrant an upgrade (not that I have the cash atm, lol).
