Final Cut Express HD v3.5.1 will it work question.

I was wondering will it work on leopard because right now i have tiger 10.4.11 and i was looking on macs site they said it that final cut express hd will work on Mac OS X v10.4.10 or later. So i take it that means that it will NOT work on leopard? From my understanding I can take any work I have done in imovie to go to the new version of imovie and then also import into final cut express. If that is true then i might as well just do the project in imovie and then import into the new version when i get the hard drive upgraded all with ilife and the os.
